Chromium is a heavy metal, and Europe and America have very strict regulations on it! In our leather industry, during the initial fur processing, we add chromium-containing chemicals to properly break down the fur.
Chrome Free leather.
Chrome Free Leather is renowned for its durability; a well-crafted leather product can endure for a lifetime and even beyond. It is crafted from a byproduct of the meat industry, effectively re-purposing hides that would otherwise be discarded, thus promoting sustainability.
When processed with the appropriate chemicals, leather can be both circular and biodegradable, making it an environmentally friendly choice for consumers who value eco-conscious materials.
However, with the subsequent chromium removal process, the content has been reduced to meet export standards. Therefore, our products contain a very small amount of chromium.
